How are you one already? I don't know how it happened so fast. You amaze me every day with how smart you are. You know what you want and aren't afraid to go for it even if that means taking on your big sisters. You have made it up to 19lbs 6oz and are 28.75 inches tall. You are in 12 to 18 month clothes and wear a size 2 to 3 shoe. You moved up to size 4 diapers and are on whole lactaid milk. I am so glad that you are finally growing. The doctor said you are good for six weeks which is the longest time between appointments that you have had in the last 7 months. I hope you continue to gain good weight so we can stop going all together. You still sleep with mommy at night and are waking up one to two times. You have started taking one long nap in the afternoon and go to bed between 6:30 and 7. You are doing so well at walking that you are now almost running. You love your blanket and your pacifier and your sisters are always the ones to get you to laugh.
You have lost a little weight and are down to 17 pounds 9 oz. You have finally grasped the walking thing and are taking more and more steps every few days. You said your first word....up...which sounds like bup..I also swear I heard you say papa one day.You love to antagonize Amarah and think it's funny. You love being outside exploring. You drink about six ounces at a time now and take two naps during the day...one short and one long. You also are doing better at night and usually only eat once...some nights you wake up a lot to eat. You have so learned to clap and you shake your head no all the time. You also learned to wave bye bye. You seem to feel so much better and are doing more things every day. You had a procedure done at the hospital and they found out you have acid reflux but you did awesome while we were there.
You are a cruiser now. You walk along the furniture at fast speeds. You took your first step on March 22nd at nanas birthday party and I think it surprised you as much as me . We went on our first family trip with daddy this month and you did pretty good in the car. We went swimming for the first time a d you were a little unsure but you enjoyed being with mommy walking around in the water. You are babbling more now and mama and Dada are your favorite sounds to make. We also went got the Denver zoo for the first time and you loved all the animals. You are in size 3 diapers and 12 month clothing. You weigh 17 14oz and are 27 inches long
You are still in size 9 months but can wear some of Amarahs old size 12 month clothes. You still wear size 3 diapers and are now growing into size 2 shoes. This month we have been going to lots of appointments and I have finally gotten you to drink 4 oz at a time once or twice a day. You have started eating more table foods. You are eager to put food in your mouth but you spit it back out. You have started standing for a few seconds without holding onto anything. You have also started to be more vocal making ahh sounds and grunting more. You have started sleeping in your crib part of the night. You wake-up a lot to nurse at night. During the day you take a short morning nap around 9 and then you either take one long nap or two short naps in the afternoon. You crinkle your nose up when you are being funny...it is so cute. You lift your arms above your head when you want me to pick you up.
You started crawling on 1/9 officially making you the first crawler. We took you to the specialist and he had us take you in for a procedure where they take x-rays of your stomach every minute for an hour. You weighed 15.8 lbs at the appointment so at least you had a big jump in weight. You are super good at crawling and your favorite thing to do is to dump the dogs water bowl out all over yourself. You are starting to walk along the furniture now and are sizing up how to move across a gap in items. You are a little more chatty this month babbling more... mainly just Dada sounds. You are still in size three diapers and size one shoes. Also you are wearing size 9 month clothes.
You are up to 14.8oz so the doctor wants you to see a specialist because you are not gaining enough weight. You are such a mover now...you want us to stand you up all the time. You are able to turn in circles on your stomach and can skooch across the floor a little ways. You do not care much for baby food but you will tolerate fruits. You are really interested in what the grown ups are eating. You let us know now when you do not want something like being put in your car seat or jumperoo...it's like as soon as you feel yourself being put down you start crying. You still wear size 3 diapers size shoe...and 6-9 month clothing. You are discovering your voice more and eexperiment with different octaves of squeals and screams just because you can. You love when I Kiss you really fast on the neck and will lean your head in for more. You think Amarah is the funniest thing since birth lol. You love to watch her and laugh at everything she does.
Where has my sweet still baby gone? You are all over the place now. You try to sit yourself up all the time. At night you've started to turn on your side and sometimes you end up on your tummy. You are fitting pretty good in size six month clothes and a size 1 shoe. You are officially in size 3 diapers and I had to raise the straps on your car seat. You still cry every time I leave the room or the house without you. You love having a binky and a blanket to sleep with. You are up to 14 pounds and 25 inches long. The doctor says you are not gaining enough weight so we need to figure out how to get more food in your belly. You are only a fan of baby food with Apple's, bananas, or pears....meat and veggies are a no go for you lol
I can't believe you are already five months old. You are getting so big and strong. You mastered rolling over from your back to your front at the beginning of the month. You have only rolled over from your front to back one time on September 29th. You are waking up several times during the night now. I got you a jumperoo and you love being able to stand up and bounce. You weigh 13.5 pounds and are in 3-6 months clothes. You are about to outgrow size 2 diapers. You still love your mama and scream bloody murder whenever I leave the room. You think Amarah is the funniest person around. You love whatever she does and bust out laughing. Other than that you are a very quiet girl. Mommy gave you baby food this month. We started with rice cereal and then banana, Apple's,and pears. You aren't too sure about the bananas but you loved the apples and pears. You are practicing sitting up and are getting pretty good. You still hate being in the car seat.
Ayanah has discovered her legs and grabs her pants and holds onto them. She is getting so close to grabbing her feet. She has also started screaming out loud when she is trying to talk...Its pretty cute. She is really close to rolling over but can't quite get there yet. I've left her a couple of times to go work, but it is hit or miss with how well she does. She is in size 2 diapers and just now starting to fit into some of her smallest pairs of shoes. She loves playing on her playmat and usually falls asleep there and she has started to not like her swing. She also scoots her butt out of things when she is mad or doesn't want to be sitting in them.
Ayanah is now 11lbs 10oz and 23.5 in with a 38.5cm head. She just started in size 2 diapers at the end of the week and is out growing some of her 0-3 month clothes. She sleeps from around 8-10pm until 4:30 or 5 in the morning. She is an awesome sleeper. She is doing really good with her tummy time and is really loving her hands. She always has them in her mouth and she really loves wearing dresses because she can grab the ends and pull them up into her mouth. She still hasn't rolled over yet, but she is getting close. She has discovered her voice this week and has been experimenting with low coos and talking back when I say something to her.
Ayanah has started rolling to her right side when on her back....she hasn't rolled over yet she just tips to the side when she is playing on her playmat. She has also started laughing a little bit this week too. She chuckles a few times and it is so cute...she doesn't do it long enough to catch on video but I am hoping she will get the hang of it better soon.
Amarah has been practicing with her potty training and is doing very well. Hopefully, she will be potty trained soon. She is loving her dance classes and is so excited to see all of her friends.
Alayah goes back to school tomorrow and she isn't very thrilled about it, but I hope she can make the most of it and have a great time.
Ayanah has discovered her hands and they are always in her mouth. She would rather suck on her hands than suck on her pacifier. She is also really starting to drool. She has for the most part been pretty laid back, but she is starting to realize if she cries I will come get her so she has been a little more needy lately. The smiles are abundant nowadays and she is starting to chuckle occasionally. I am excited to hear her laugh for the first time.
We went to Alayah's back to school night and met her new first grade teacher Mrs. Loomis. I am glad Alayah is excited to go back...hopefully, that excitement is long lived :)
Amarah has gone almost one week without her pacifier and so far we are doing pretty good, but she wakes up a lot at night asking for it. It's funny now that she doesn't have her momo she no longer seems too attached to her blanket and the tag that is on it. She doesn't even ask for it.
Alayah learned how to ride her bike today. I am so proud of her and she is so proud of herself. She has only practiced a handful of times and today it clicked. Today is also the day that I decided to take away Amarah's pacifiers. She misplaced all of them so I decided to today would be as good a day as any. Hopefully, this goes well. :)
Ayanah has really started smiling this week. I was starting to get worried, but she loves when I give her kisses and she just lights up and I can get lots of smiles from her. She is still in size one diapers and wearing size 0-3 month clothing, although she has been wearing some just 3 months. She is also starting to fill in her newborn shoes. She is putting on some pounds and I am excited to see how much she weighs at her three month appointment.
Ayanah has finally had her first conversation with me this week. She started cooing on Wednesday night after bathtime and seemed pretty proud of herself. Her smiles have also started immerging this week too. Usually, she only smiles when she is sleeping, but she has managed a couple of half smiles which get me very excited. She is still in size 1 diapers and is filling into size 3 month clothes. This week was kind of laid back which was nice since we just hung around the house all week. Since we were at home I had more one on one time with Ayanah which has now made her realize that if she cries I will hold her so she has been much more clingy.
Amarah Amarah....I am trying to work with her on potty training, but its hit or miss lately. Alayah has school starting again soon so I am enjoying having her around for the next two weeks before she is gone all day.
We went to Ayanah's 2 month visit on Friday and she is now 10lbs and 22.25in with a 38cm head. She had to get two shots and she cried and cried all the way out to the car. My poor girl. She was pretty miserable the rest of the night and cried any time she moved her leg. I felt so bad for her. The other girls were very good at the appointment since I had to take them with me. We have to work more on tummy time since we haven't really done that yet and she can't really hold her head up very well. She is still a very easy baby and loves to sleep.
On Friday we had Ayanah's two month pictures taken and I took Amarah too to see if maybe she would cooperate and get a couple taken since I have not had any luck with that since she turned two. Luckily she let the lady take a couple of picture which was great. On Thursday we took Ayanah out with us on our date day and enjoyed some time alone for a bit which was great. We went to a movie and she slept away the whole time. The older girls enjoyed some time with grandma. On Saturday grandma and papa took the older girls to the lake so we had another day of just Ayanah for a bit. I forgot how easy it is to have just one baby to worry about at a time. I'm definitely enjoying these little moments.
We had a great time in Wyoming. We spent time with Nana and enjoyed some of the sights around town. We went for a hike on the mountain which was quite interesting. Amarah was scared of all the plants and bugs and Alayah really wanted to do some serious cliff climbing. Ayanah was content riding in mommy's wrap and slept through most of our hike. We enjoyed our time with friends and were sad to leave. The car ride home was a little rougher for Ayanah. She did not like being in the carseat and I don't blame her. We had to stop a few extra times just to let her out of her seat. We all glad to be back home at the end of the week. We played in the pool this weekend and Ayanah got to wear her swim suit for the first time, but the pool was too cold for her to get in. Alayah and Amarah loved getting to swim and Amarah ended up falling asleep at the table.
Ayanah woke up with her eyes crusted shut at the beginning of our trip and it now seems to be a daily experience. The doctor said she has clogged tear ducts, so hopefully they will clear up soon. We ended up coming home early from our trip because we all woke up sick and were feeling pretty crummy. Ayanah didn't get sick luckily, but I think she liked being back home in her own bed.
Ayanah has outgrown her newborn diapers and is now in size one diapers. She can still wear newborn clothes, but has been wearing some 3 month clothes even though she drowns in them. We headed to Wyoming this week and made the long 13 hour drive. Ayanah did really well for being strapped in for so long. The older girls were entertained by the DVD player. We surprised Nana and enjoyed being able to go to church. Ayanah enjoyed the singing and Alayah enjoyed Sunday School class. Amarah was okay, but freaked out crying when I came back to get her. We went to the park afterward and enjoyed being able to play outside. It gets so hot in Vegas we can't do much outside. We went to the Fair and the girls enjoyed riding on the rides and seeing the farm animals. It is nice to be able to do things that I grew up doing, but everything is so different now it doesn't feel the same. I definitely do not miss living here.
The fourth of July was kind of a bust this year. No one was home, so we were on our own for the day and everyone was grumpy so we just stayed around the house. We drove around and saw a few fireworks from a distance as this year Amarah is scared of them and Alayah isn't. Ayanah is One month old now and is still so tiny to me. She is 8lbs 6oz and 20.75in with a 36cm head. She is sleeping like a champ at night but sleeps so much during the day. She seems to only wake up to eat and then is right back to sleep. She is by far the easiest baby I've had yet. :) I am still trying to figure out how to balance all three kids especially Amarah and Ayanah because Amarah is such a mama's girl. Amarah is finally warming up to Ayanah and starting to enjoy holding her for longer than 2 seconds.
My firstborn....You are growing and changing so much. You are an awesome big sister and you love to play with and make your sister laugh. I love you so much and Love that you love me too. You seek me out to cuddle or give me random hugs. We moved out of grandmas and grandpas into our own place and you took it with stride and haven't looked back. You love having your own room and bathroom. You graduated from preschool and had a ceremony which you were not thrilled about partaking in, but you got over your fear and sang your little heart out. You also lost your first tooth and your tooth fairy david brought you two dollars folded like hearts. You were so excited and brave about losing your tooth. You love singing and learning and you are excited to show everyone what you know. You seem excited about starting Kindergarten in the fall and are looking forward to your first trip to Disneyland.
You are ONE today baby girl! I can't believe a year has gone by already. Today we celebrated your day by going to lunch with grandma and Alayah. Then we went to the mall and got your picture taken with the Easter Bunny. Later in the day we went to Yogurtland with your daddy and had some yummy ice cream. You have been battling a fever the last two days so you weren't feeling 100 percent today. You go to sleep around 7 every night and wake up about twice and have a bottle. You wake up for good around 7am. Lately, you have been going to sleep on your own in your bed and don't need mama to rock you to sleep. You are eating more and more food and less and less baby food. You love pasta with spaghetti sauce. It is your all time favorite thing. You are great at walking now even though you still fall down sometimes. You love playing with your big sister and follow her around the house. You are wearing size 4 diapers and size 4 shoes. You also wear size 18 months clothing.
Oh my baby girl how you have changed in the last several months. You have six teeth right now and numbers 7 and 8 are almost through. You are starting to talk more and more. You can say "uh oh" "dada"(byebye)while waving your hand, "dank u"(thank you)"yeth" (yes) and are working on more. You have such a personality and are full of spunk. You love playing with your sister and laugh and scream if she chases you. You can point to your nose and your belly button when we ask. You are finally sleeping through the night now that we moved in with daddy and you have your own room. You can drink out of a sippy cup and are practicing drinking out of a cup and a straw. You love to dance and you just cant help but wiggle when you hear music. You love to climb the stairs..up and down up and down...and boy do you love to EAT. You eat everything and I don't think that there is a food that you do not like yet lol. I love you baby girl and I am so glad to see you happy and growing.
You are 10 months baby girl. You have hit double digits. You had your first set of pig tails this month. They turned out pretty cute. You are still in size 3 diapers but you are on the last box. You are still in size 3 shoes and are heading out of your 12 month clothes and moving into 18 months. You said your first word this month "uh oh", then you waved bye bye and you also got two teeth. You did a lot of changing this month. You are getting really good at standing without holding on to anything, but you get scared and hurry and sit down. Mommy loves rocking you to sleep at night and cuddling with you. You aren't breastfeeding too much anymore, but we still do it occasionally. You still wake up several times at night and this month you have been waking up and drinking full 4oz bottles each time. You still go to bed around 8 and wake up three times and are up for good anywhere from 6am to 7am. You are still having trouble with your ears and ear infections, so it looks like you will be getting tubes in your ears pretty soon. Only two more months and then you will be 1 year already. It seems like just yesterday I was preparing for your arrival. I love you Amarah.
Oh, Alayah. Where has this year gone? This has been a very big year for you with lots of changes and lots of growing up. You started this year off in preschool loving your animals and batman. You made friends with a little girl named Danielle and you two have become inseparable. You both love to play animals all day long. The biggest change you had this year was becoming a big sister. You love your new sister and you are such a great help to mommy. You love to carry her around and share your yogurt with her. You keep her happy in the car and you just all around love her. In the fall you started Pre-kindergarten and you've made great strides. When you first started you could only write A's and H's...and by your 5th birthday you can write your first name like pro. Right now you are working on writing your a's in lowercase instead of them all being in capitol letters. You can write any letter of the alphabet by memory even though some aren't quite there yet. :) You are 43.5lbs and 43.25 inches. You where size 5T and can fit in big girls 4/5 clothes. You wear size 12 shoes and you love boy things. Right now you have shifted from your love of batman back to horses and have added captain america and Thor to your super hero loves. I can't wait to see what this next year brings and I love watching you grow and blossom. You are my favorite girl in the whole wide world and I love you soooo much
You are nine months old today baby girl. You have had two bouts of ear infections this month, so I hope next month you are sick free. You are still between 18lbs 8oz and 18lbs 12oz. You are almost outgrowing your size 3 shoes and your twelve month clothes are fitting just right. I am sure next month you will be in size 18 months. You can say Yay now and clap or wave your hands when we say Yay to you. You have also said uh oh but only a couple of times. You have also learned how to wave bye bye. You stick your arm straight out and point your fingers downward. It is pretty cute. You still babble and make sounds like dada and nah nah nah. You love table food and insist on trying a bite of anything the grown ups have. This month was Christmas and you were so not interested in opening any presents. You were too busy eating cheese puffs. You have started eating 6 to 8oz of milk at at time now and you go to bed around 8 or 9 and still wake up at least twice during the night. Lately, i've been lucky enough to get you to sleep later than 6am and you have been waking up between 7 and 8. I have tricked you into standing by yourself a couple of times and you will stand there for several seconds, but you don't like to do it because it scares you. You love bath time and I love how you crawl to me and pull yourself up on my pant legs and grunt until I pick you up. I love you so much baby girl :)
Well baby girl you have changed so much this month I don't even know where to start. You are now 18lbs 8oz and are outgrowing your 9 month size clothes. You still wear some, but need to be in 12 months size. You are still in size 3 shoes and size 3 diapers. You love table food and want to eat everything we are eating. You started crawling this month and soon after started pulling yourself up on the furniture. You can walk along the long couch and have mastered pulling up and sitting down from a standing position. You stay awake about 2-3 hours during the day and then take a nap. You go to sleep around 8 and sleep until around 12 and wake up at least three times by 6 am . You are a funny girl and you do this new thing now where you put your chin on your chest and then look up with your eyes doing this shy girl look. You also like to crawl to me and pull up on my legs when you want me to hold you. You think your big sister is pretty funny and you laugh the most at her. You also learned to clap and shake your head no this month too. You babble a lot more but don't say any words yet. You love fruit baby food, but you are not too fond of the vegetables now. You would much rather eat real food. I love you with all my heart.
This month has gone by so fast. You are in size 3 shoes and size 3 diapers. You mastered going from your tummy to a sitting position this month and you have tried about every type of baby food there is. You really love fruits and orange vegetables. You are not too fond of green veggies. You are now on a formula for sensitive tummies to see if you are lactose intolerant. So far it has been helping. You are about 17lbs right now and still in size 9 month clothes. You did a full cycle of crawling tonight :) You say dada and some other babbling sounds and you when you get excited you flap your arms up and down. It is so cute. You love your big sister and are always watching to see where she is going and what she is doing. You are going to bed around 8 and wake up at 12, 2,4, and 6. You can also eat two jars of baby food in one sitting. You also want to eat whatever the grownups are eating. I love you baby girl. :)
Where to begin precious girl. You are quite the character. You have started thinking you are pretty funny stuff. You do this fake laugh thing when you think you are being funny. You are very opinionated and you are quick to let everyone know when you do not like something. You got your very first ear infection this month and started antibiotics for it. You did not like the medicine very much. You still take your medicine for reflux and it doesn't look like you will be off it any time soon. You are still in size two diapers, but you will be in size 3 diapers by the end of the week when mommy finishes up this last pack. You are in size 2 to 3 shoes and you are now wearing size 9 month clothes. You have gotten into a routine of going to sleep between 7 and 8 o'clock at night and sleeping until around midnight and then you wake up again at 3, 5, and again at 6 when mommy gets up for work. You love eating baby food and really enjoy anything that is a fruit. To celebrate your sixth month birthday mommy gave you a breadstick from Olive Garden and you really really liked it. You still like to tip yourself upside down and look at everyone from that angle. You can hold your bottle now too. On Sept 12 you finally rolled from your back to your stomach and mommy actually saw it to make it official. Now, you roll to your tummy all the time. You love to eat your toes and are always trying to get them in your mouth. I moved you into your crib and you really like having all the extra room. You usually go to sleep on your right side cuddled up with your blanket, but this last week you have started sleeping on your stomach. You are very good at sitting up now and are starting to get strong enough to keep yourself from falling over. I love seeing you after work because you get so happy and your eyes light up. I love you so much sweet pea
This past month you have changed before my eyes. You started eating babyfood and you love it. I started you off with rice cereal and you took right to it. Next, I gave you carrots and those are by far your favorite. You have had peaches, bananas, and apples which you like and green beans which you don't seem to care for too much yet. You have also had oatmeal which you like as well. You started this month off by rolling over literally maybe twice lol. You have no interest in rolling. You would much rather be sitting up like a big girl gettting in on all the action. You love bath time and kick frantically when you are in the tub splashing and sloshing around. You are still in size 2 diapers, but you are going to outgrow them very soon. You wear a size 1 baby shoe and you are still in size 6 month clothes although they are starting to fit a little snug. You can sit up for a few minutes by yourself before you fall over and you love to stand with someone holding your hands. You started this new thing now where you spit out your binky and make raspberries. It is so funny. You are starting to develop a funny personality and you like when I kiss your neck really fast over and over. You also love to tip yourself upside down when someone is holding you. You think it is pretty cool to look upside down. You love the sound of your own voice and you screech and scream any chance you get. I set up your crib today and you are sleeping in it for the first time tonight. I hope you like it. I also gave you squash for the first time today and you really seemed to like it. You have a bit of a cold today so I hope you sleep well. I love you with all my heart baby girl.
You are now four months old Amarah. You've changed so much this month. You went from one week reaching out for toys and swatting them to the next week reaching out and grabbing them. You found your hands and they are always in your mouth. You also pull out your binky and stick your fingers in your mouth any chance you get. You love the toy on your carseat and you swat at it all the time. You love your floor mat with all it's toys and you talk and talk and talk. You also know what you like and don't like and boy do you let everyone know when you are not happy. When you don't want to go in your carseat you make your self stiff and straight so we can't get you in. You have a temper. :) When I drop you off at miss Melanies in the morning you reach out to touch her face. It's so sweet. You go to bed between seven and eight and sleep until anywhere between 1am and 4am. Usually, you wake up at 1 and then wake up every hour until 6 am when we get up. You are still in size 2 diapers and you wear size 6 month clothes. You are doing really good at pushing up when you are on your tummy and have rolled over a couple of times both I believe were accidents as you don't roll over very often. You like to stand and think you are pretty cool when you do. You have had a couple of good laughing fits this month, but you don't laugh very often. I don't think you've quite figured it out yet. You weigh 14lbs 2oz and are 25 inches long. You are getting so big and I love you so much.
