Week 8

On Friday we had Ayanah's two month pictures taken and I took Amarah too to see if maybe she would cooperate and get a couple taken since I have not had any luck with that since she turned two. Luckily she let the lady take a couple of picture which was great. On Thursday we took Ayanah out with us on our date day and enjoyed some time alone for a bit which was great. We went to a movie and she slept away the whole time. The older girls enjoyed some time with grandma. On Saturday grandma and papa took the older girls to the lake so we had another day of just Ayanah for a bit. I forgot how easy it is to have just one baby to worry about at a time. I'm definitely enjoying these little moments.

Week 7

We had a great time in Wyoming. We spent time with Nana and enjoyed some of the sights around town. We went for a hike on the mountain which was quite interesting. Amarah was scared of all the plants and bugs and Alayah really wanted to do some serious cliff climbing. Ayanah was content riding in mommy's wrap and slept through most of our hike. We enjoyed our time with friends and were sad to leave. The car ride home was a little rougher for Ayanah. She did not like being in the carseat and I don't blame her. We had to stop a few extra times just to let her out of her seat. We all glad to be back home at the end of the week. We played in the pool this weekend and Ayanah got to wear her swim suit for the first time, but the pool was too cold for her to get in. Alayah and Amarah loved getting to swim and Amarah ended up falling asleep at the table.
Ayanah woke up with her eyes crusted shut at the beginning of our trip and it now seems to be a daily experience. The doctor said she has clogged tear ducts, so hopefully they will clear up soon. We ended up coming home early from our trip because we all woke up sick and were feeling pretty crummy. Ayanah didn't get sick luckily, but I think she liked being back home in her own bed.

Week 6

Ayanah has outgrown her newborn diapers and is now in size one diapers. She can still wear newborn clothes, but has been wearing some 3 month clothes even though she drowns in them. We headed to Wyoming this week and made the long 13 hour drive. Ayanah did really well for being strapped in for so long. The older girls were entertained by the DVD player. We surprised Nana and enjoyed being able to go to church. Ayanah enjoyed the singing and Alayah enjoyed Sunday School class. Amarah was okay, but freaked out crying when I came back to get her. We went to the park afterward and enjoyed being able to play outside. It gets so hot in Vegas we can't do much outside. We went to the Fair and the girls enjoyed riding on the rides and seeing the farm animals. It is nice to be able to do things that I grew up doing, but everything is so different now it doesn't feel the same. I definitely do not miss living here.

Week 5

The fourth of July was kind of a bust this year. No one was home, so we were on our own for the day and everyone was grumpy so we just stayed around the house. We drove around and saw a few fireworks from a distance as this year Amarah is scared of them and Alayah isn't. Ayanah is One month old now and is still so tiny to me. She is 8lbs 6oz and 20.75in with a 36cm head. She is sleeping like a champ at night but sleeps so much during the day. She seems to only wake up to eat and then is right back to sleep. She is by far the easiest baby I've had yet. :) I am still trying to figure out how to balance all three kids especially Amarah and Ayanah because Amarah is such a mama's girl. Amarah is finally warming up to Ayanah and starting to enjoy holding her for longer than 2 seconds.
