Halloween 2011

This is the first year Alayah chose her costume. She wanted to be a ghost but then she saw this at the store and she was sold. 

She was big enough this year to go knock on the doors all by herself and she thought it was the greatest thing. She would come running back to me telling me thank you so much after every single house. She had a lot of fun but after a couple of blocks she was over it and didn't want to walk anymore. 

We were back at home after only an hour, but it was still tons of fun to see her excitement.

Soccer and halloween

I signed Alayah up for soccer because she keeps saying when she's a "sisser" she is going to play basketball. I am not sure where she got that idea, but I thought I'd let her try out soccer to see if she liked it. Today was   her second class and she loves it. She is actually pretty good too for having never played before.

After soccer we went to a pumpkin patch to pick out a pumpkin and of course Alayah had to ride the horses.

She is still so in love with horses. I wish I could find some equestrian classes for her to take.

We came home and I decided that this year she might like carving a pumpkin so that's what we did. She wasn't too into the carving part as it was pretty disgusting. I'll admit that I don't even like to clean out the pumpkins plus they stink lol.

Thankful Thursday

I am thankful for this bundle of energy and sweetness. She makes me smile daily.

Flying

Alayah and Papa had fun this morning playing. As you can see she had tons of fun flying.

Its a Girl and Lion King

Today was an awesome day! Alayah and I went to get the ultrasound done and it was so much fun to see her reaction. She says the babies name is Coco and has been calling it that since very early on. When we got to the appointment Alayah thought it was a doctors office for her so she wasn't too excited at first. Once she realized it wasn't for her she perked right up. She thought it was cool to see the baby and she told the tech that she wanted a sister. Luckily, Alayah got her wish. I am having a baby girl and I am beyond thrilled. After the appointment we met up with my friend and did a little shopping and then took the girls to dinner at the Cheesecake factory. It was so yummy. We were running late for the Lion King show so dinner was super fast. We made it to the show with minutes to spare. 

Alayah doesn't like loud noises so she pretty much spent the entire show with her fingers in her ears and didn't say a word, but once it was over it was all she could talk about. She absolutely loved it. I thought it was pretty awesome myself and I wish we could go again before it ends in December. I am sad that our friends are leaving tomorrow and this is the last time we will see them for awhile. Sometimes I miss Wyoming just for my friends but I would hate living there again. Today was one of the best days to date :)

Doctors Appt

We didn't meet up with our friends today because I had a doctors appointment and I had class in the evening. I am 15 weeks along and I was hoping to find out what the baby was today so my friend and I could go shopping tomorrow but no such luck. Oh, well I made an appointment at a 3D ultrasound place for tomorrow because I am dying to know. :)

Dolphin Encounter

Today we took the girls to the Aquarium at Mandalay Bay and then headed to the Lion Habitat at a hotel whose name escapes me at the moment lol. 

Alayah was grumpy at the aquarium because she was hungry and when Alayah is hungry watch out. The girls really enjoyed checking out the lions and dolphins. 

The dolphin encounter was pretty cool because you could get right up next to the pool and see them. They had cute little baby ones too. All in all it was a great day :)

So much fun

We met up with our friends and went to the Rainforest Cafe to have lunch. The girls thought they were big stuff drinking their root beers out of bottles. We walked down to the Mandalay Bay hotel and bought tickets for the Lion King show. I am so excited to take Alayah. I think she will love it. After walking the strip a little we went to the outlet mall and enjoyed some shopping. It was a great day with friends and Alayah is enjoying having her bestie around so much. 

Friends

Our friends from Wyoming came to visit us today! It's been almost a year since we've seen them and I'm so excited to have them here. Alayah's friend wanted to try out the pool even though it was way too chilly for the rest of us. Our friends stayed for a few hours and enjoyed a bbq with us and we will catch up with them again tomorrow for some fun on the strip.

Las Vegas Girl

I can't believe we are nearing our one year anniversary of living in Las Vegas. It has gone by so fast and it seems like it was forever ago that we lived in Wyoming. Alayah has adjusted well to being here and only misses Wyoming when she wants to be with her Nana. 

I can't wait to see what year two in Vegas is going to bring us :)

Lion King

Today we went to see the Lion King in 3D. Alayah was super excited as she loves lions. She isn't really fond of 3D movies because she doesn't like to wear the glasses. 

I love taking her out to do special fun things like going to the movies. She loves it and she feels so special :)

Today is Uncles birthday so we got all dressed up to go out to eat. 

My baby girl is getting so big and looking so grown up. I can't believe how fast time goes by. She is getting better with her pronunciation of words too. She used to say "tollah" for stroller, but now she actually says stroller. I'm going to miss those little things as she grows.

After the zoo yesterday I decided to head back home and stop halfway again at a hotel. I still am not up to par and I just didn't think I could make an eight hour drive in once chunk. 

We started the last leg today and Alayah got bored about an hour out of town and decided to color herself all over. She said it was her superhero arms. Silly girl

Zoo Day

I love taking Alayah to the zoo when we visit. It's both of our favorite thing. Too bad I still didn't feel very well while we were there.

It was also super hot which made it pretty miserable if we weren't in the shade. Alayah loved seeing the lions and the zebras....two of her favorite animals.

She was in an awesome mood all day and I love that she is at the point where doing things like this are enjoyable the whole time because I don't have to get on to her about anything.

By the end of the day she was burnt out and so was I. It was nice to be able to get back in the car and be in the air conditioning. :)

First time all together

Today was the first time ever that all the kids were together with their father. It was awkward for the moms, but I think it was great for the kids. There were a lot of things that I wish could have been different and a lot of things that made me question whether or not I will ever let them all be together at the same time again, but I think it was a good experience to have in pictures as I highly doubt Alayah will remember any of it. 

Alayah's brother really loves his sisters and I am sad that he doesn't get to see them very often. He would make an awesome full time brother.

Sisters Together Again

I took Alayah to see her sister today. I can't believe how much they both have grown. Alayah was excited to see her and they both enjoyed some chicken nuggets together and then took off playing.

I am so glad that I am able to get the girls together even if its only once a year. I hope this is a tradition that can continue for many years.
