A day of messes

Alayah is still sick so I had to stay home again today. Today she decided to test her limits all day long.

First she decided to paint the bathroom door with gogurt...and then blamed it on the dog lol.

Then she took her jello and dumped it all over her bed. *sigh* We were definitely butting heads today. I did however enjoy another day off work :)

I had to stay home from work with Alayah today since she is still feeling pretty rough. She is still battling a fever even with Tylenol and Motrin. She took a four hour nap today which was awesome. I also picked up her pictures from her two year old session and bought a frame at Hobby Lobby to put it in...Now I need to find a place to put it on the wall :)

Denver Aquarium

At the Aquarium

We headed home from Denver today, but first we stopped by the Denver Aquarium so Alayah could see the fish. She really loves fish and has enjoyed the aquarium in the past, but today she wasn't in the mood. She was really whiney and clingy the whole time we were there. I wish I had known she was getting sick because three hours from hom she started screaming "owie." I felt to bad for her. She cried almost the whole way home. I had to take her to UrgentCare when we got back into town and she had double ear infections and pharyngitis. Also she had a fever of 103. My poor girl. I thought tubes would eliminate the amount of ear infections she got, but so far they haven't done anything on preventing them.

Shopping

We spent the day shopping. We were so tired by the end. Alayah did really well for having to be stuck in strollers, carts, and the car for most of the day. I was really proud of her. We went to an Italian buffet for dinner and she ate a whole plate of pasta. She even slept in her stroller at the mall which was amazing lol.

Going to Denver

We are headed to Denver for a little weekend of shopping. I am so glad to be getting away for a few days. Alayah was eating her quesadilla from Qdoba and wanted me to take a picture of her and I was happy to oblige. :) She did pretty well for the four hour drive. I was worried she would cry the majority of the time.

Color Girl

Alayah loves to color. She sits so quietly and contently when she is coloring.

I absolutely love this picture of Alayah.
I had the day off today because Alayah's daycare was closed and I couldn't find anyone else to watch her. We chilled around the house for awhile and then I decided to take her outside and take some pictures of her before it started snowing. She was not very cooperative, but these two pictures turned out really cute.


One the tumbling front she did much better tonight and there were no fits whoo hoo...She still was a little wild, but she wasn't screaming so I could deal with it lol

Nothing really exciting to report today. I spent 2 hours at the photographers trying to figure out which pictures I was going to order and again spent way too much money. Oh, well. They are only little once. Alayah thinks she can break dance so she always busts out a somersault when she dances.

Night and Day

I wish she wasn't so moody, but I know it's just part of her age. She is learning to use her words better lately, so I am hoping that will begin to help her frustrations.
On another note...she won a prize today at daycare for using the potty all day with no accidents. Yay Alayah :)

Happy Valentines Day

We slept in today and I tried another heart design on Alayah's hair. She is so funny lately, because she is really into dressing herself and sometimes her fashions are a little crazy.

She was running around in her pull up and her squeakie shoes and she wouldn't let me put any clothes on her.

Her outfit was a little big this year, but cute none the less. We went out to lunch and then went to see "the princess and the frog" again, since it was at the cheap seats. All in all it was a great day spent just me and Alayah. Later in the evening we went out to eat with her Nana, but it didn't last long as Alayah wouldn't sit still and was misbehaving.
I found her these cute slippers at Claire's today for $1.00 and they went perfect with her princess jammies.

Sleepover

I tried another heart design on her today. I didn't like it as much as yesterday's design. I had planned a surprise birthday party for a friend at my job, so my grandmother and Alayah had a sleep over in her living room. Notice all the blankets. She always has two or three with her at bedtime. She is too funny

Heart Design

I tried out this heart design for Alayah to sport at her daycare's Valentine's party today. I thought it turned out really cute. I am writing this post a week late and I can't for the life of me remember what we did on this day, so this post is short and sweet.

Mini Pancakes

My daughter has an addiction to mini pancakes. She requests them all the time. She would eat them for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks if I would let her.

I walked into this tonight and I thought it was so funny because that is exactly how I sleep with my blanket lol.

Sleepy Girl

Alayah has been requesting to sleep with one of her babies every night now. It so sweet to find her cuddled up like this with her baby. I sewed her a pillow case with satin material in hopes that it will help out her hair. The hair on the back of her head is so dry.
Her father went with us to tumbling tonight and of course she did everything she was supposed to because he was there. *sigh* It is kind of frustrating for me that he gets it so easy. He doesn't have to do any of the hard stuff, but reaps all the rewards of my hard work.

I got these way cute espedrilles from Crazy8 and I LOVE them. I can't wait for summer so she can wear them.

Alayah decided she wanted to give herself her medicine and she kept making these funny faces the whole time lol.

Crafts

Alayah loves crafts. She would paint all day long if I would let her. I bought this cheap hand print making thing at Target and it came with paint, so I let Alayah paint it by herself. It was a gift for her Nana on Valentines Day.

She is so meticulous and gets so excited doing crafts. I think we may have an artist on our hands.

Sunday Afternoon

I decided to let Alayah's dad spend some time with her today, so I went to neutral ground i.e the mall lol. I let him spend time with her while I shopped. I figured it was a win win. Unfortunatley, he kept following me around like a sad puppy. *sigh* This is the first he has seen her in 6 months and Alayah acted like he never left. The only pictures I took today of her are ones with him in them. I wish I would have taken some by herself for the blog. Oh, well.

Party Girl

Alayah went to a friends birthday party today. She had fun, but she was in dire need of a nap so I didn't get very many pictures of her. She wouldn't have anything to do with me and my camera.


I tried a new hairstyle today too. I thought it turned out really cute.

Miss Independent

Alayah picked out this Elmo shirt at target the other day. I was just glad it was girly lol.

Lately, she has been putting her pull ups and her pants on all by herself. The only thing she has problems with is sometimes she puts both feet in the same hole. She gets mad if you try to help her or fix it though. She is so silly sometimes.

Alayah loves to make choo choo's with her blocks. Tonight she decided it would be best to jump over them. Jumping is also her favorite thing to do...

Tumbling Week 4

Alayah loves herself some hotdogs....I think she only likes them because she loves to dip them in ketchup...she would eat plain ketchup by the spoonfuls if I would let her

Alayah did much better today with listening at the beginning of class, but she fell apart towards the middle. *sigh* Baby steps, baby steps lol She is testing her limits lately and it's making me have to raise my patience level. Let's hope she gets all of this out of her system before her teen years lol
