Happy Birthday Ayanah

How are you one already? I don't know how it happened so fast. You amaze me every day with how smart you are. You know what you want and aren't afraid to go for it even if that means taking on your big sisters. You have made it up to 19lbs 6oz and are 28.75 inches tall. You are in 12 to 18 month clothes and wear a size 2 to 3 shoe. You moved up to size 4 diapers and are on whole lactaid milk. I am so glad that you are finally growing. The doctor said you are good for six weeks which is the longest time between appointments that you have had in the last 7 months. I hope you continue to gain good weight so we can stop going all together. You still sleep with mommy at night and are waking up one to two times. You have started taking one long nap in the afternoon and go to bed between 6:30 and 7. You are doing so well at walking that you are now almost running. You love your blanket and your pacifier and your sisters are always the ones to get you to laugh.

11 months

You have lost a little weight and are down to 17 pounds 9 oz. You have finally grasped the walking  thing and are taking more and more steps every few days. You said your first word....up...which sounds like bup..I also swear I heard you say papa one day.You love to antagonize Amarah and think it's funny. You love being outside exploring. You drink about  six ounces at a time now and take two naps during the day...one short and one long. You also are doing better at night and usually only eat once...some nights you wake up a lot to eat. You have so learned to clap and you shake your head no all the time. You also learned to wave bye bye. You seem to feel so much better and are doing more things every day. You had a procedure done at the hospital and they found out you have acid reflux but you did awesome while we were there.

10 months

You are a cruiser now. You walk along the furniture at fast speeds. You took your first step on March 22nd at nanas birthday party and I think it surprised you as much as me . We went on our first family trip with daddy this month and you did pretty good in the car. We went swimming for the first time a d you were a little unsure but you enjoyed being with mommy walking around in the water. You are babbling more now and mama and Dada are your favorite sounds to make. We also went got the Denver zoo for the first time and you loved all the animals. You are in size 3 diapers and 12 month clothing. You weigh 17 14oz and are 27 inches long

9 months

You are still in size 9 months but can wear some of Amarahs old size 12 month clothes. You still wear size 3 diapers and are now growing into size 2 shoes. This month we have been going to lots of appointments and I have finally gotten you to drink 4 oz at a time once or twice a day. You have started eating more table foods. You are eager to put food in your mouth but you spit it back out. You have started standing for a few seconds without holding onto anything. You have also started to be more vocal making ahh sounds and grunting more. You have started sleeping in your crib part of the night. You wake-up a lot to nurse at night. During the day you take a short morning nap around 9 and then you either take one long nap or two short naps in the afternoon. You crinkle your nose up when you are being funny...it is so cute. You lift your arms above your head when you want me to pick you up.

8 Months

You started crawling on 1/9 officially making you the first crawler. We took you to the specialist and he had us take you in for a procedure where they take x-rays of your stomach every minute for an hour. You weighed 15.8 lbs at the appointment so at least you had a big jump in weight. You are super good at crawling and your favorite thing to do is to dump the dogs water bowl out all over yourself. You are starting to walk along the furniture now and are sizing up how to move across a gap in items. You are a little more chatty this month babbling more... mainly just Dada sounds. You are still in size three diapers and size one shoes. Also you are wearing size 9 month clothes.

7 months

You are up to 14.8oz so the doctor wants you to see a specialist because you are not gaining enough weight. You are such a mover now...you want us to stand you up all the time. You are able to turn in circles on your stomach and can skooch across the floor a little ways. You do not care much for baby food but you will tolerate fruits. You are really interested in what the grown ups are eating. You let us know now when you do not want something like being put in your car seat or jumperoo...it's like as soon as you feel yourself being put down you start crying. You still wear size 3 diapers size shoe...and 6-9 month clothing. You are discovering your voice more and eexperiment with different octaves of squeals and screams just because you can. You love when I Kiss you really fast on the neck and will lean your head in for more. You think Amarah is the funniest thing since birth lol. You love to watch her and laugh at everything she does.
