Princess and the Frog

My friend and I took our girls to see The Princess and the Frog today. Alayah really likes the movie and sat through the whole thing. She calls Princess Tiana "ana". I enjoyed the music in the movie. I think I will get Alayah the sound track.


It's so fun to be able to enjoy these things with her now. I can't wait until she can make her own decisions on what she wants to go see.

Painting Alayah Style

I let Alayah paint with a paintbrush for the first time today. She really enjoyed it and didn't want to stop lol. She is very meticulous and wanted everything just right. She didn't want me helping or touching.


Don't mind the spaghetti sauce all over her face lol



She was very partial to the color blue.

I think a painting easel is in her future

Christmas Day 2009

Alayah woke up in a grumpy mood so she wasn't overly excited about all the stuff awaiting her this morning. She noticed her doll center and immediately grabbed her Elmo stocking and tried to stuff it into the cradle. She didn't even care that there were presents in the stocking. She really enjoyed opening things this year and was actually excited about some of the things she received.

She was a little overwhelmed after all the presents and spent time afterwards watching Elmo in her room.

She loves shoes, so the first thing she did was try her dress up shoes on. She always puts one on and leaves the other off. She is silly.

Opening presents was serious business for her. I can't wait to see her on her birthday :)

Christmas Eve 2009

We attended church Christmas Eve and Alayah did really well sitting through service. Afterwards a lady who takes pictures for the church wanted to get a picture of Alayah in her Christmas dress. Unfortunately, Alayah ended up with diarrhea all evening and wasn't in the mood for posing.

After church we drove around looking at lights. We found a lot of really pretty houses and one even had a man dressed as santa outside handing out candy. Alayah really enjoyed looking at the lights.
We made a stop at walgreens to pick up some pedialyte in case Alayah was feeling worse the next day, then we went out to eat.
By the time we got home Alayah wasn't feeling very well and was really tired. I let her open the presents from her half sister and the one from her daycare.

She is growing up so fast and it was nice to be able to see her enjoy the holidays this year. I can't wait till next year as I'm sure it will be even more fun.

Holly, Blue, and Whoa. Everyone is Daddy lately. You run to me and Nana yelling Daddy. You're so silly. You absolutely love Hannah and you think she needs to sit in your lap all the time.
