Wordless Wednesday

Another Tuesday

I took Alayah to dance class today and the babysitter asked if Amarah could come visit during that time so she could kind of have a trial run before I go back to work. It was only an hour, but it was really hard to be away from her. Going back to work is going to be so hard. I wish that I could be a stay at home mommy. I ran out of gas today and had to have my mom come give me enough to get to a gas station and that all on top of issues with Amarah's father. I wonder why things seem to be so hard for me sometimes, but at the end of the day I'm glad I get to go to sleep with two beautiful girls. Tomorrow is a new day and I am grateful I get to spend it with both of them.

7 Weeks

At 7 weeks you are sleeping in your bassinet from about 9 or 10 until 3 in the morning. Mommy loves that long stretch of sleep. You are awake more and more during the day and take short little catnaps and one long nap throughout the day. You are a smiley miley lately and I can see you smiling at things while you are laying in your swing or bed. Your big sister loves to carry you around and you like to watch her when she is near you. You are in size 1 diapers and you are in 3 month size clothing and some of those are getting very snug. You have also started putting your hand in your mouth a lot lately. You are a pro at bath time and there are no tears now when you are in the water. You had your first experience in the pool this week and you didn't even cry. I am sure you are 11 pounds by now and I love every inch of your chub. I love you baby girl.

Mother's Day 2012

My first Mother's Day with two beautiful girls. It was great as a mommy to one and its even better as a mommy to two. I love them both so very much and I hope that I am all that the dream of in a mom. 

Pool Day

Amarah got to wear her first swim suit today and hang out by the pool I put her in the water for a few minutes and she tolerated it pretty well.

Alayah actually played in the water and started swimming with her floatie. 

She was all over the pool after she figured out she wasn't going to go under the water. She hates water on her face so she struggles with even bath time. 

I was so happy for Alayah overcoming her fears and enjoying swimming for the first time. Last year she just watched from the sidelines. This year she is going to be in the middle of all the fun.

Sisters

Alayah loves to pick her sister up and move her to the couch when I leave the room. Sometimes Amarah doesn't like it, but most times she lays with her sister happy and content to watch what she is doing. 

First Smile

I caught Amarah's first reactive smile today. I was talking to her and she smiled at me. Usually she smiles in her sleep. Of course there were also many half smiles and funny faces made in the smiling process. I made a WIC appointment and they weighed baby girl and she weighed 10lbs 12oz and was 20.5 inches long. Alayah was 48 lbs and 48 inches tall. I have some big girls on my hands. Alayah had to get her finger pricked and she was not happy about it. She screamed and cried the whole process. Poor girl

Big girl

Amarah is working hard on her push ups. She is supposed to have tummy time everyday, but it doesn't happen very often. She is either eating or sleeping so she never has time for hard work :)

Avengers

Alayah got to go see the Avengers tonight so she was pretty excited. She loves everything boy and superheroes are definitely top of her list.

6 Weeks

You have this new thing wear you grab your hair with your right arm while you are sleeping. It's super cute, but it seems like you might hurt yourself pulling on it.

Every week it seems you have a new roll on your body somewhere. I just want to squeeze your cheeks. The headband you wore in these pictures didn't fit when I tried to have you wear it home from the hospital, but now it fits just right. It's amazing to see how much you've grown since you have been home.

1 Month pictures

I took Amarah to get her one month pictures taken today. She didn't do very well because she was hungry even though I fed her right before. They did get a couple of cute shots and I'm sad one month has already gone by and the second month is approaching fast.

Sleepy girl

I love watching her sleep. She is so beautiful and peaceful.

Sister Talks

Alayah likes to talk to Amarah and I love watching the two of them together. I hope they grow up to be very close and share secrets with each other. 

Bathtime Beauty

Amarah loves taking a bath now. Well, maybe she doesn't love it, but she tolerates it. She gets very quiet and serious during her bath. I love a fresh clean smelling baby

May Day

I trimmed Alayah's hair today because it really needed it. I think I cut about 2 inches off. I can't believe how lopsided it was. 

I decided on some fun colors today since it was the first day of May. I love my two girlies so much. Alayah had dance class today and I like to watch them practice their hula dance for their performance next month

5 Weeks

I wanted to use the lamb Alayah got Amarah at the hospital for her monthly pictures, but she was grumpy and I didn't have much time to snap a picture so it's nothing too fancy. Hopefully, I can get better ones in the future. 

Homework day

Amarah was kind of grumpy this evening. She acts like she wants to eat, but fusses and won't eat for very long. I spent the day doing homework. I can't wait for this semester to be over. Alayah went to the park with my parents while I Amarah stayed home with me to do homework.

Sisters

I put Amarah in an outfit from my grandma. Its a 0-3 month and I don't think it's going to fit long after it's washed. Baby girl needs to slow down in the growing department

Mommy's day out

Today I took Amarah in for her 1 month appointment. Baby girl weighs 9lbs 9oz and is 22 inches long. Her head was 37cm as well. The doctor said she is in the 50th percentile for weight and the 75 percentile for height. Her head was at the 25th percentile. I can't believe she is so big already. She got a shot at this appointment and it was so sad. I hate seeing her cry from an owie. After her appointment I met up with a friend at the movie theaters. We saw Think like a Man and it was Amarah's first movie. She slept and ate the during the movie and was such a snugglebug. Alayah stayed home with my mom and had some girl time with her while they waited for the heating and cooling guys to bring the new water heater.

No water

Today I woke up to the water heater being out. Of course it was just when I needed to take a shower and the girls really needed baths. We went over and visited with the babysitter again and Alayah had fun playing with her little boy. Alayah really enjoys getting out of the house lately.

Big Sisters hand me downs

This was Alayah's dress that she wore at 5 months old....Amarah is barely two months old lol. Its crazy to think that Alayah was smaller than Amarah is right now and at the same time I can't believe how big Amarah is lol

4 Weeks

You are 4 weeks today baby girl. You didn't sleep as well during this photo session, so I had to do it in two parts. One part before your bath and the other part after. You are still in your newborn diapers, but I have officially moved you into your 0-3 months clothes. Next week you will definitely be in size 1 diapers. I can't believe in 4 weeks you have gone up 3 diaper sizes. :)

You are starting to sleep in longer stretches at night which mommy is loving. You are sleeping from about 11pm to 5am. Someday's you will sleep again from 5 until 8, but other days you are up at 6 or 7.

You are starting to be awake more during the day and you really love when mommy is holding you. You are also starting to smile. You don't smile for the same thing twice, but you randomly let out cute little grins. You also moan and make little noises while you are eating and while you are sleeping. It is the cutest thing. I love you baby girl

Hawaiian Festival

This is the last time Amarah will wear her newborn onesie's and I am so sad. She has grown so fast it is unreal.

At least this skirt is a newborn size, but the onesie is a 3 month. 

Today we went to the Hawaiian festival here in town and walked around for a little bit. Alayah liked watching the dancers.

After the festival we went to a local restaurant called Bahama Breeze and had dinner. I was exhausted by the time we got home.
