I am thankful for this funny little girl and her funny sense of style she keeps me smiling

Tumbling Week 27
Alayah had two weeks off from tumbling for summer break. I'm writing this two weeks late so I don't remember how it went lol. i tried a new braid on her today and I kind of like it.
this girl is gangsta lol
This is how she spent most of the day because I haven't felt like getting dressed just to sit at home. I think I am depressed. That or I just lack some serious motivation.

Bored Bored Bored
I've been pretty bored lately. This un-employment gig kinda sucks. I enjoy not having to take Alayah to daycare everyday, but I'm running out of things to do. The days are all melting together.
I tried to take pictures of Alayah in the backyard and mess with my camera settings, but she wouldn't cooperate.

Moment in time Monday
I bought a book at Wal-mart with tracing exercises for 3-5 year olds. I showed Alayah how to do one and then she did this one. I think she did awesome for having never done any type of tracing before. Way to go Alayah

All Myself
Alayah has become very independent lately and everthing she does is follwed by "I do it all myself." She is very adamant about doing things all herself lol...
What am I going to do with this girl....She definitely keeps me on my toes.

Busy day
We had a busy day today. We headed to our local arena for a back to school bash. We me up with some friends and walked around to all the booths entering contests and collecting pencils and pens.
Denver Zoo had an exhibit and they did a kind of show and tell thing with four different animals.
Alayah got to touch a turtle so she was pretty excited about it. She got to see a hawk, lizard, and a hedgehog.
They had this dinasour guy dancing around and a live band playing kid songs. Alayah wouldn't dance, but she was all about taking a picture with this guy. After the back to school thing we ran to Mcdonald's really quick and Alayah got to play with her friends and eat some lunch. Then we had to leave and head to a birthday party.
Alayah loved playing in this ball pit. She just laughed and laughed.
When it got time for cake the poor girl was so tired she could barely stay awake. All in all it was an awesome day. I love being able to do things with my baby girl

Alayah at midnight
I came home late from dinner and a movie with my friend to find this little girl awake. She was in such a good and so happy to see me. She kept saying "you come back mommy...you came home" while patting my cheek.
It's so nice to come home to such a lovely angel and be able to snuggle in bed.
Although there wasn't much snuggling as she was wired for sound lol...It was almost 1am before I got her to sleep. Silly girl

Alayah's New kite
Alayah saw this umbrella at the store the other day and she has done so good with potty training I decided to get it for her. She calls it a "kite". It is so funny. She loves it and is always using it. Her Nana found the rainboots at Target and brought them home for her today.
We were going out for pizza and guess what she just had to wear.....yah the rainboots. Ughh...it killed me to let her go out in public like that because I am one for coordination lol. I decided that her quirky dressing days will end too soon so I let her wear them. She was in heaven.

The missing "S"
I've noticed that Alayah leaves off the "S" at the beginning of words.
"tollah"= stroller
"teenky"=stinky
"top it"=stop it
can you see the mischief oozing out of her in this picture lol
I think it is so cute that she doesn't say her "s" sound. I know soon enough she will start using it and all her cute little words will disappear.

Alayah goes to the Library
I decided to take Alayah to the library for the first time today. Before we went we crossed the street to our local art museum so I could take some pictures.
I got two good ones and she was not in the mood to take any others.
On the way back across the street we stopped at the water fountain things they have set up and Alayah decided she wasn't scared of them. She got a little close to them but she wouldn't actually play in them.
Then we headed over to the library and walked downstairs to the children's section.
She wasn't quite sure what to expect, but she did like all the stuff on the walls on the way down the stairs. Once we got down the stairs she saw the room filled with books and took off running towards it. She was so excited. She picked out three books and I let her check them out herself.
I was trying to get her to pose with the book she picked, but she was not being very cooperative.
She wouldn't let me turn the book around. She wanted it all to herself. I think its time for a nap.

Official
I was offiicially layed-off today and it stinks. I knew it was coming for awhile and I knew today would be the day, but it doesn't make it any easier. It is going to be hard for a little while trying to adjust to all these changes. At the end of August we are going to be moving to a new city..well a new state for that matter and that in its self is going to be life changing as I've never lived anywhere but the town I was born in.
I hope that Alayah will adjust to all these changes with ease. She won't be going to daycare anymore. The daycare she has gone to five days a week since she was 6 months old. I hope that I can adjust to not having a job and not being able to financially provide like I want for Alayah for an extended period of time. I'm just bummed about losing my job. I have had it for five years and I like knowing that I could take care of Alayah by myself and not need help from others. I guess this is the time to humble myself and be grateful I have that help available to me.

Thankful Thursday
I am thankful that I was able to do Alayah's first braids that go all the way from front to back. I am also thankful that it didn't take very long and that she didn't cry or fuss about it.

One of those days
I was so excited about the pig-tails yesterday I had to do them again today :)
This is how she felt about me asking her to say cheese so much.
I was stopped at an intersection leaving work and when my light turned green I hit the gas and all of a sudden some kid on a bike flys in front of me and I hit him. Luckily, he wasn't injured, but boy it ticked me off that he wasn't paying attention. It scared the living daylights out of me...sheesh

Sunday Sunday
We went to church today and Alayah finally wore the dress I bought for her back in March. I love this dress. I finally found shoes to match it and I was so excited to put it on her.
I bought a new headwrap and hopefully this one will stay on better than the old one we were using.

Mountain Pictures
We headed up to the mountain to take some pictures. She was too busy running around to pose for pictures, but we had fun exploring.
I love this picture :)
Alayah loved going on our little hike and I think we will do it again soon. It was lots of fun exploring new surroundings and checking out new bugs.

Growing up
This is how she feels about using the potty
She stands here to pick out the movie she wants to watch before bed
My girl is growing up. Her language skills are growing every day. Some days she says things that I didn't know she knew how to say. She can express feelings, wants, needs, ask questions, and make statements. She learns new words everyday and loves to talk lol.
Some funny sayings
"dose"-clothes
"teenky"-stinky
"cited"-excited
"eddybody"-everybody
She makes me laugh when she says "I cited mom" or "I no yike it mom" It so stinkin' cute

Tumbling Week 26
Alayah did great at tumbling tonight. She even started doing some somersaults with no hands. It was pretty funny. She also had a check up with her ear doctor today. He said her tubes have come out, so now its a waiting game to see if she ends up with anymore ear infections. I hope she doesn't.
