Saturday Shmaturday

I took Alayah to see Despicable Me today. She liked it and loved getting "cah-corn." I didn't like how they portrayed the orphanage in the movie, but I guess it's not much different than "Annie." I just don't understand why movie makers even think to do that kind of stuff for movies. After the movie we went to the mall where I proceeded to spend way too much money lol. Alayah picked this outfit out all by herself. She liked it because there was a puppy on it that looked like our Hannah doggy.

Really Really

Alayah's new thing is "really really." She will say "I really really yuv it mom" or "It''s boke..its really really boke mom". She also says "It really really cares me mom" and "I can't find it mom....I really really can't find it" It makes me smile everytime she does it lol

Alayah's hair is extremely curly so this is the first time it has ever stayed straight after taking out braids. I can't believe how long it is. It barely passes her ears when its curly...Everyone loved her hair out like this and she got a lot of compliments. It's nice to know people appreciate her hair fro'd or curly.

Tumbling Week 24

Tumbling went pretty well tonight...She participated with each skill a little longer today than she usually does. She did 10 practice cartwheels in a row. Usually, she does 2 and calls it good. I took her braids out tonight....thats a lot of hair lol

Moments in Time Monday

Independence Day

Today was a busy day. We went to breakfast(more like brunch cuz we slept until 10am) with Nana downtown. While we waited to get in Alayah and I walked up and down the sidewalk. It's like pulling teeth to get her to pose or look at the camera lately.

I am in love with her shoes, but they barely fit her :(

After we ate I took Alayah to the park to play. There happened to be this statue out front so I had her stand by it really quick so I could take her picture.She had a lot of fun playing until she pooped her pants so we had to leave. She was not very happy about it.

After naptime, we headed up to the Events Center and went to the annual football game. Our team won and next weekend is the first championship game. After the game we walked around outside and waited about 30 minutes until it was time for the fireworks to start.

It was freezing out and luckily we had out winter jackets in the trunk because I sure needed mine lol. Alayah was not a fan of the fireworks this year at all. They started and I told her how pretty they were and once they had one go off that looked like you could reach out and touch it she was freaked. She covered her eyes and refused to look at them. She didn't cry, but she held on to me really tight and buried her head in her blanket.

I can't believe this is her 3rd 4th of July already. Time is going by so fast.

Alayah and I went to the mall for a little bit today after I finished braiding her hair. We ate lunch and walked around. We went to our friends house and had pizza and watched Lilo and Stitch while I braided my friends little girls hair. After, the girls went to sleep we watched a movie. It was nice to spend time with my friend and get out of the house for the evening.

What is the breakfast of Champions?

Alayah begged for corn this morning. That is all she wanted and she insisted on taking the bowl with her in the car lol.

Thankful Thursday

I am thankful for these chubby cheeks and big lips. :) I love being able to kiss them and squeeze them. I love this little girl

Tumbling Week 23

Alayah did much better this week. She at least attempted all the things she was supposed to do. She is doing so well at all her skills. I wish they would teach something new because I think she is bored with what they have been doing the last 6 months.

This is how she fell asleep...and I will miss the days when she no longer does this. I still don't get the shoe thing. She puts them on the wrong feet and wears them to bed.

Fun Day

I <3 this dress

Today we went down to our local art museum where they were having their anual artists gig. They have a bunch of tents and booths outside where different artists can display their work. They have everything from fine art and jewelry to scrapbooking and cakes. They had lots of activities for the kids to do too.

We met up with some friends when we got there and since it was lunch time we headed over to a local restaurant to feed the kids. Alayah devoured her meal in like five minutes flat. She was really hungry I guess. She even went poop in the potty while we were there which is big since lately, she has refused to use the potty at all.

After lunch we headed back over to some of the activities. Alayha loved the bounce house and giant slide. She climbed all the way to the top and came down at least five times in about five minutes lol.

She thought this glue activity was great fun. She also painted a magnet for the fridge.

We waited in line to get a painting done. She picked a giraffe to match her dress and chose to have it on her arm. I thought it turned out pretty cute.

She fell asleep after we got in the car and slept until it was time to head up to our sports arena for a football game. We got there a little early so I tried to snap a few pictures of her in her hello kitty outfit.

I will miss our mountain when we move to Nevada. I've grown up here and had this as a backdrop everyday.

The football game was fun and Alayah enjoyed hanging with her friends. Today was a great day.

Thankful Thursday

I am Thankful for this blessing. She is the greatest thing that ever happened to me. I find myself in awe when I think of her. I still can't believe God would choose me...me to be her mommy.  I don't know about you, but our little gifts are amazing to me.

Tumbling Week 22

Tumbling went really well tonight. She did everything she was supposed to and didn't have any tantrums even though she didn't want to do some of the things she was supposed to do. I love when she does what she is supposed to be at tumbling to do. I even got to kind of stand at the side instead of having to help her do all the tricks myself. It was kind of nice.
